The Process
Performed at our factory in Northampton, England, this service is included with our bespoke true sidelock models. Our fitting process begins once your stock blank has been roughly machined and headed up, allowing us to fit an 'action' to it.
The fitting session, which typically lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, involves hand-shaping your stock blank to ensure that your point of aim and point of impact are perfectly aligned. We meticulously consider the length of the grip, diameter of the wrist, trigger finger positioning, comb height, and cast to tailor the gun to your precise needs.
For the most accurate fitting, we recommend that you bring the shooting garment you usually wear. Our bespoke fitting process is tailored to your specific shooting discipline, whether it be game shooting, sporting, or trap.
This personalized service is typically conducted by James Longthorne Stewart, a fully qualified Instructor, or another qualified member of our staff.
